“If you would have told me 4 years ago that I would be in a sorority, I wouldn’t have believed you. After being convinced by my mom, I decided to give recruitment a shot, and went through Primary Recruitment in Fall 2023. After only four days, I completely fell in love with my chapter, and felt the sense of belonging I was searching for in my college experience.
Since then, Recruitment has meant so much to me because of the way I felt when I went through the process. It was stressful and it was long, but there is no place I’d rather be than in the Panhellenic community. Serving as a Rho Gamma further solidified that passion. Being able to guide PNMs through recruitment, support them through the highs and uncertainties, and watch them grow more confident in themselves was incredibly rewarding. That experience inspired me to take on a larger leadership role, where I could help create a recruitment process that is not only organized and smooth, but also meaningful and empowering for everyone involved.
I decided to serve as Vice President of Recruitment because of how impactful my own recruitment experience was and the role it played in helping me find my home within Panhellenic. Going through the process showed me the importance of creating a welcoming, genuine, and supportive environment for every potential new member. I wanted to be part of shaping that experience for others to make sure each woman feels seen, valued, and excited about where she may end up.”
